Lori Marrie walks the talk when it comes to a healthy lifestyle. Her approach to the 2002 diagnosis of stage II breast cancer and, later, stage IIIb diagnosis of ovarian cancer is what Lori refers to as a “compassionate lifestyle.”

A regular contributor to Dirt Magazine in Chester, New York with a vegan column and recipes, which are as colorful and varied as the vegetables she uses. Lori is a proponent of community supported agriculture in which is a way for consumers to purchase seasonal foods direct from local farmers. “Naturally grown, chemical-free, fresh produce gives a body everything it needs, and nothing it doesn’t.”

Diet and lifestyle are critical components of prevention. Lori’s legacy, which includes her two daughters, one of whom has also embraced a vegan lifestyle, continues to grow .  .  . organically.
